SWAN Women's Centre
SWAN Women’s Centre was founded by local women who recognised that traditional health services weren’t always geared towards meeting women’s needs – so they created a place that did.
Over the years, we’ve grown into a trusted, community-based charity supporting women and girls aged 13 years and above. As the demand for trauma-informed and gender-specific mental health support has increased, so have the range of support we provide.
The SWAN Centre provide a wide range of support services, including:
- One-to-one counselling for adults, teenage girls (aged 13+), counselling for adults who have experienced or currently experiencing domestic abuse.
- Befriending and peer support groups
- Counsellor-led support groups
- Confidence & resilience-building workshops
- Advocacy and information
- Legal advice (Family Law)
- Activities throughout the year
- Holistic therapies carried out by qualified experienced Therapists (Charged for service: currently £22 per hour)
- Food vouchers - on behalf of Food Bank.
The Family Advice and Support Team (FAST) is the front door of Sefton's Early Help Service. They are the first people you will talk to if you think you could benefit from support from an Early Help Worker.
Call the FAST Team on 0151 934 4545
The FAST Team will have a discussion with you and see how they can help you across a range of different topics.
This could include help with:
Maintaining Positive Relationships
Managing Family Conflict
