How We Support Learning
At Cambridge Nursery School, we help children learn in lots of fun ways. We use continuous provision, which means children can choose different activities that help them explore and discover at their own pace. Outside, we have plenty of outdoor learning, so children can run, climb, and investigate nature while learning about numbers, letters, and the world around them. We make sure that children with SEND get the right support so everyone can join in and succeed. We also work closely with families to build strong relationships, so every child feels safe, happy, and ready to learn.
We make learning exciting by following each child’s interests and encouraging them to try new things. In our classrooms, children can move between activities, which helps them practise skills like counting, drawing, or sharing with friends. Outdoors, we explore gardens and playgrounds, using nature to ask questions and solve problems. For children with SEND, we provide extra help, tailored resources, and lots of encouragement, making sure no one is left behind. By keeping families involved, we share ideas and celebrate successes together, creating a community where children love learning and feel proud of what they achieve.
We live by our school motto: Embracing the lives of children and families.
