The Cambridge Day

At Cambridge Nursery School, our daily sessions are designed to give children plenty of time to learn, play and explore in a calm, nurturing environment.

To ensure we meet the needs of our families, we offer a flexible approach to how you use your entitlement. For example, you may wish to use your hours to complete two full days and one morning. Please speak to Mrs Barrett in the School Office to request a specific pattern. We will try our best to suit your needs.

Session Times

• Morning session: 8:45am – 11:45am

• Afternoon session: 12:30pm – 3:30pm

These sessions provide a balanced mix of child‑led play, focused learning opportunities and time outdoors.

30 Hours Funded Offer

For families using the 30 hours funded entitlement, the school day runs from 9:00am – 3:00pm. This full‑day provision gives children extended opportunities to:

• build friendships

• develop independence

• explore a wide range of activities

• enjoy a consistent routine that supports their wellbeing and learning

A Day Filled With Learning

Every part of the day is thoughtfully planned to help children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence. Through play, exploration and high‑quality interactions, children develop the foundations they need for future learning.
